The Australian Manufacturing Workers Union is the latest Australian union adding its voice to the BDS call in support of “the long suffering Palestinian people” to end “the illegal Israeli occupation.”  View the AUSPalestine NEWS page to read the AMWU motion recently passed.

Ms Diana Buttu‘s Australian tour is now in Sydney.  Unfortunately, her visit has been cut short, and her last public appearance will be tonight in Sydney.  Seven Australian unions have generously supported Ms Buttu’s visit, and she has addressed numerous union events around the country over the past two weeks.  View the AUSPalestine EVENTS page to see details of her final talk tonight.

Britain’s largest public sector union, UNISON, last week accused Israel of lying over the Gaza flotilla incident and agreed to suspend its relations with the Israeli union federation, Histadrut. View the AUSPalestine NEWS page to read the UNISON statement.
